A Journey of Reflection

What an incredible and meaningful experience at the Africa Food Systems Forum (AFSF) in Kigali, Rwanda! 🇷🇼🌍 I had the privilege of participating in a Round Table discussion on the Zero Draft of the Youth in Trade Charter, listening, learning and sharing perspectives with young entrepreneurs, policymakers and stakeholders on creating better opportunities for young people in African trade. This experience made me pause and reflect on just how far Marie foods trd has taken me. When I started this journey, I never imagined my business would take me to places like Kigali, introduce me to incredible people, or give me opportunities to speak about my business and share my story in different spaces. I’m truly grateful to God for every opportunity, every open door and every experience this journey continues to bring. 🙏🏾❤️ Visiting the Kigali Genocide Memorial was also a deeply humbling experience. It gave me a moment to reflect, remember and appreciate the resilience of Rwanda. It was a powerful reminder of the cost of hatred, the importance of remembering, and why we must always choose peace. I’m leaving Kigali with new connections, new knowledge, unforgettable memories and renewed excitement for what lies ahead. Marie foods trd has already taken me places I never imagined and given me a voice I never knew I would have.
